This is a posting by Arnold Gore to the cancercure list at egroups.com,
containing a detailed study about the possible interference of antioxidants
with chemotherapy and radiation. The results showed that there were actually only three specific antioxidants
that interfered with conventional chemotherapy, usually they actually
helped. Arnold presents the conluding section first since it is a long article.
Written by a research immunologist who says in this article, "Approximately six years ago, I
stumbled across a natural substance that was so promising, so
profoundly superior to everything else I had ever evaluated, that I
abandoned all other projects, including NIH-funded research, in order
to focus entirely on this substance." MGN-3 is composed of an extract of rice bran
modified by enzymes from Shiitake mushrooms. MGN-3 is sold by

This message describes a
HOUSE COMMITTEE ON GOVERNMENT REFORM AND OVERSIGHT
HEARING on June 7th and 8th 2000 to investigate
the FDA's use of its authority to force cancer patients and parents of
cancer patients to accept treatments they do not want, or else face
legal action. The hearings were prompted, in part, by the recent case of
Thomas Navarro, a 4-year-old boy with brain cancer.
