My Battle with Stage IV Lung Cancer

These stories developed out of extensive correspondance with Bob Karjala,   
the summary descriptions below are from each person's initial email to Bob.

  1. Susan Manley (last update December 26, 2001)

    My 36 year-old nonsmoking wife has just been diagnosed with stage IV lung cancer from evidence of a 2.5 cm mass in her lung and single large mass in a lumbar vertebrae.

  2. John Primo  (last update September 13, 1999)

    My close friend John has been diagnosed with "large cell" lung cancer and has gone through 6 weeks of radiation and one day each of those weeks were chemo, Taxol and Carboplatin.

  3. Heinz Kratz  (last update January 2006)

    I am a 58 year old male living in Whyalla, South Australia. Bob Karjala's story proved to me that cancer can be conquered, and it gave me a more positive outlook in fighting my cancer.
